Hi, I'm Polina.
I'm an artist and illustrator based in Prague.
Before I began making paintings, my images lived on book pages, children's fabrics, packaging, coloring books and digital products used around the world. I trained in graphic design, worked with publishing houses and, in 2014, co-founded a small independent publishing house in Prague, where I wrote and illustrated my own book. My work has also appeared in more than 20 exhibitions, festivals and independent publishing projects across Europe and the United States.
From books and textiles to painting
Painting brought all those paths together: the clear shapes of graphic design, the rhythm of surface patterns and the storytelling of illustration. Today I create bold, decorative paintings filled with black lines, vivid colors, flowers and figures.
