Red Poppy - Canvas Print
**Red Poppy - Canvas Art Print**
I painted *Red Poppy* while a close friend was going through heartbreak. The sadness of that moment found its way into the painting, but so did the wish for comfort. Not the kind that tries to fix everything, just the quiet kind that makes it a little easier to carry.
In Kate Greenaway’s Victorian *Language of Flowers*, the red poppy symbolizes consolation. Poppies have also long been associated with dreams and imagination. In this painting, they represent the comfort we sometimes need when life becomes difficult: a chance to pause, rest, and let the mind wander.
Although it grew from a personal story, *Red Poppy* isn’t only about heartbreak. It can belong to anyone who could use a gentle pause, a vivid daydream, or simply some beauty to live with.
